Sustainability lies at the heart of StitchEasy.
The fashion industry is the second-largest polluter in the world, just after the oil industry. And it continues to grow at an alarming rate. However, there are solutions and alternatives to mitigate these problems. The first step lies in building awareness and willingness to change.
At StitchEasy, we educate brands about the environmental impact each collection has and how they can reduce it by partnering with manufacturers that follow sustainable practices.
We also help manufacturers improve their processes and adopt sustainable ways of production.
Our mantra for green fashion
The most important step and one that would account for 80% of the environmental impact is to design collections using organic and natural fibers.
Working with manufacturers that follow sustainable practices helps in reducing water pollution, water consumption and ensures proper waste management and disposal.
Currently 5.2% of our landfills are textiles. By using recycled, repurposed or reclaimed fabrics and materials, brands can bring life to waste and have a positive impact on the environment.
